This article will cover everything you need to know about Recycle Bins on your ShareVision site. There are two Recycle Bins, one in the Quick Start Menu and one in Portal Settings. Each Recycle Bin holds a distinct purpose and requires different permission levels.
Portal Settings Recycle Bin
Must login with ShareVision Administrator permissions.
The Portal Settings Recycle Bin is located from the Site Administration Home, under Site Settings, Portal Settings. It provides storage for deleted Portals, Pages and Page Parts.
Click on the recycle symbol
The Portal Settings recycle bin displays deleted portals with their related pages and page parts, pages with their related page parts, and page parts.
Clean Recycle Bin - removes all of the items from the recycle bin making them unavailable to restore
Page Parts cannot be restored if the form used by the page part has been deleted. Restore the deleted form before you restore a deleted page part. Review article about deleting forms.
Portals, Pages and Page Parts can be restored following the steps below
Portals
Shows the number of deleted portal
Click drop-down menu to open the list of portals
Click on the name of a portal to get more details and access to the Restore button
Click the restore button to restore the portal with all the pages and page parts
Pages
Shows the number of deleted pages
Click drop-down menu to open the list of pages
Click on the name of a page to get more details and to access the Restore button
Click the restore button to restore the pages and related page parts
Page Parts
Shows the number of deleted page parts
Click drop-down menu to open the list of page parts
Click on the name of a page part to get more details and to access the Restore button

Quick Start Menu Recycle Bin
The Recycle Bin that is located on the Quick Start menu provides storage for deleted Forms, Form Fields and Form Submissions.
Accessing the Quick Start Menu Recycle Bin
Login with your ShareVision user credentials
Click the Recycle Bin located by the Quick Start menu
Once in the Quick Start Recycle Bin you will be able to see any deleted Forms, Form Fields and Form Submissions. Most users will only be able to see their own deletions in the recycle bin, Site Administrators will be able to see deleted items from all users.
Each deleted entry will display the following fields in the recycle bin:
Action: used to restore deleted entries
ID number: system field used as a unique identifier
Name: the name of the deleted entry
Type: lists if the deleted entry was a Form, Form Field or Form Submission (Forms, Form Fields and Form Submissions),
Created By: who created the entry
Deletion Time: what date and time the entry was deleted
Deleted By: who deleted the entry
Restoring an Entry
To restore an entry from the Quick Start recycle bin, click the restore button in the Action field
Once the item has been restored a pop up will appear at the bottom of the screen confirming the restore has been successful
If you are a staff user and cannot see an item that you believe has been deleted, please contact your ShareVision Administrator.
Portal Settings Recycle Bin
The Recycle Bin that is located in the Portal Settings and stores deleted Portals with their related Pages and Page Parts, Pages with their related Page Parts, and Page Parts
Accessing the Portal Settings Recycle Bin
Login with your ShareVision user credentials
Select (click on) your name in the upper right hand corner
Select Site Administration on the menu that appears
The Site Administration Home page will be displayed. Select Portal Settings in the Site Settings section:
Select the Recycle Bin Icon
The Recycle Bin will appear as a pop-up on your screen. The Portal Settings Recycle Bin will contain any deleted Portal, Pages and Page Parts
