(question) Overview

This Knowledge Base article discusses exiting (removing) existing clients from a service. The client will first need to be added to a service: Add Existing Client to a Service.

☑️ Requirements/Dependencies

Before users are able to add clients to a service, waitlist or exit a client:

  • They must have a valid ShareVision login

  • The user’s roles must have access to the Add to Service and Exit from Service Buttons

\uD83D\uDCD8 Exit Client from a Service

A client is active in a service when they have a start date but no exit date. Clients can be exited from a service in by inputting an exit date in the following areas of your site:

  1. The Client Contact Info Page Part

  2. The Participants Page Part in a Service

  3. The Clients Portal

  4. The Participant’s Service History Page

  5. The Service’s Service History page

Exit Client from a Service via the Client Contact Info Page Part

  1. Click the Clients Portal

  2. Select the Client you’d like to exit from a service

  3. The Client Details Page will open. Find the Client Contact Info Page Part to the right. Note that the Client Contact Info Page Part may be in a different location on your site

  4. Click Exit Service

  5. Select the Service for which you want to exit the client. Only Services the client is currently active in or waitlisted for will appear in the drop-down

  6. Add an Exit Date

  7. Click Finish

  1. Click the Services Portal

  2. Select the Service you wish to exit the client from

  3. The Service Details Page will open

  4. Locate the Participants Page Part. Note that your ShareVision site may have a different location for the Page Part

    1. Notice that Clients who are waitlisted for the selected Service also show up here. You can use the “Remove from Waitlist” or “Add to Service” buttons next to the waitlisted Client. However, Clients that are already in the Service will only have a “Remove from Service” button next to them.

  5. Search for the name of the client you want to remove. Remember to use the form [LastName, FirstName], or you can search by only their last name or by only their first name.

  6. Click on the Remove from Service button

  7. The Client and Service fields will be automatically filled in. Enter an Exit Date and click Finish

Exit Client from a Service via the Clients Portal

  1. Click the Clients Portal

  2. Use the search bar to locate the client you’d like to exit from a service

  3. Once the client is found, click the three dots beside their name and then click Exit Service

  4. A new Page will appear. Select the Service you’d like to remove the client from in the Service drop down. Note: only Services the client is currently in will appear in the drop down

  5. Enter an Exit Date and click Finish

Exit Client from a Service via the Client’s Service History Page

  1. Click the Clients Portal

  2. Select the client you’d like to exit from a service

  3. Click the Service History Page

  4. Click Add History

  5. Select the service you’d like add the client to in the Service drop down.

  6. Add a Start Date

  7. Click Save

Exit Client from a Service via the Services History Page

  1. Click the Services Portal

  2. Select the Service you wish to add the client to

  3. Click the Service History Page

  4. The Service History Page will typically have three Page Parts - Active Clients, Waitlist, and Exited Clients

  5. All three Page Parts use Service History as the data source, for this reason, a user can click the Add History button on either of the Active Clients or Waitlist Page Parts as it will be an entry in the same list, how the entry is filled will determine whether the client is active or waitlisted.

  6. Click Add Service History

  7. Select a client from the Client drop-down

  8. Add a Start Date - this will add the client directly to the Service, not the Waitlist

  9. Click Save
