Scenario Description

Sometimes you may need to send a document to an alternate document library. By performing this operation, you are copying the existing document and if only wanting to move the document you will need to delete the original.

Steps:

Open the document library in which the document is stored.
Hover your mouse over the document to expose the menu access arrow.
Click the arrow and hover your mouse over Send to.
Choose other location.
The Copy dialogue will open. Choose the location you would like to send the document to (this must be the URL of another SharePoint document library) and rename the file if required.
Choose whether your copy of the document is updated whenever the new copy is checked in, and also whether you'd like to receive notifications when this occurs.
Click Okay to confirm.
Click Done once the copy is complete.
