Overview
Regional Settings influence how the date, time, and calendars will appear on your ShareVision site.
Requirements/Dependencies
Before setting up Regional Settings on your ShareVision site, you will need to
- Login with ShareVision Administrator permissions
- Have a plan of how you'd like date and time to be displayed on your ShareVision site
How to Access Regional Settings
- Login to ShareVision with a user account that has Site Administrator permissions.
- Select the gear in the upper right hand corner and then select Site Administration:
- When prompted, enter your ShareVision Administrator username and password and select Sign In.
- In Site Administration, select Regional Settings in the ShareVision Settings section:
Regional Settings
The Regional Settings page is broken into a Time Zone and a Region sections.
Time Zone
The Time Zone section is where you can set your ShaveVision site to any time zone around the world, this time zone is then used for calendar appointments, tracking edits, and everything in between. To select a time zone click on the drop down and select the appropriate option. To Save, click OK
Region
The Region section has several different options that will change how numbers, dates and times are displayed.
- Locale: Influences the way ShareVision displays numbers (including currency), dates, and time
- An example of this is the way dates are shown when English (Canada) is selected versus English (United States)

- Sort Order: Changes the way things are sorted on your site to match your Sort selection
- Set Your Calendar: ShareVision automatically sets the calendar to the Gregorian, many other styles are available to suit whatever your needs may be.
- Enable an Alternate Calendar: If you'd like information for an additional calendar displayed you can enable an alternate calendar. The alternate calendar will provide extra information on the calendar features.
- Define Your Work Week: In this section you can choose what days entail your organizations 'work week', including Start Time and End Time. In addition, you can select which day is the start of the week and which week is the first one of the year.
- Time Format: You have the option of a 12 hour or 24 hour format.
- Using the 12 hour format, AM and PM will be used to distinguish times.
- The 24 hour format starts at midnight (0:00) and runs through the day on a 24 hour format. Ex: 6:30 PM is 18:30
Once you have selected the Regional Settings that work best for your organization, press OK to save the changes.
