Overview

Form headers are items used to help users identify your form content into sections.

Form headers will only be visible in the front end/user side of the site. The columns will appear as a normal single line of text column in a new form on the site administrator section of the site

How-to

Open the list you wish to insert a form header to via the List and Libraries page in the site administration section of your site.

  1. Open the list setting and select "Add new column"
  2. Column Name: This will not be used or displayed in the form the name should include some text to show it is a header column.
  3. Column Type: Single line of text
  4. Description: This field must contain the text "Header Section" as the system will be looking for this text. You can additionally add a color using a hyphen (dash) and a hex color code e.g. Header Section - #CCD8FF. When no color is specified the system will use the default color. You can view hex color code options in the link below:
    https://www.w3schools.com/colors/colors_picker.asp

You are also able to choose between different header sizes (H1[largest], H2, H3[smallest]) e.g. Header Section - #CCD8FF - H2. When no header is specified the system will use H1 as the default
  5. Default Value: Text
  6. Default Text: This is the text which will be displayed in the form header.
  7. Save the new column.
  8. In the content type settings set the column order to determine where the column header will appear in the form.
