Getting Started


We know that taking on a new information-management system can seem overwhelming at times. But don't worry. Orientation to ShareVision Help will quickly get you familiar with your site's layout and the location of tools, settings, and content. Step-by-step how-to instructions make it easy to start using the software right away. Let's get started!

Orientation


ShareVision has multiple version releases, each help page may differ in the version it caters to. To find out if you version of ShareVision is covered on any help page the version may be included in the page title or you will see the following box displayed:

The ShareVision Help link is located in the upper right corner of your ShareVision Website Header, along the top of all pages in your ShareVision site.


Here's how a typical page in ShareVision Help is organized:

About articles explain what features are.

Getting Here shows you how to navigate to a page, feature, or tool.

How-To sections provide links to step-by-step instructions on how to work with items on your site.

See also/related pages sections have links to related topics.

Screenshots, definitions, and linked text help to clarify topics and direct you to related information.

Troubleshooting tips are the fastest way to get your site features working and get you back on track.


ShareVision Help includes:

    • context-related help

    • table of contents (TOC)

    • keyword search

    • network of related links

    • Getting Started section


Help topics are organized according to the location of features and tools on a ShareVision site. 


For example, if you want to know how to do something on the Home page, or you see something on the Home page and want to know how to modify it, go to Home in ShareVision Help.


If you don’t see the topic you’re looking for on a Help page, or don’t know where a feature is located, try a keyword search on the Index tab or on the Search tab.
