Requirements/Dependencies

Before working with Recycle Bin on your ShareVision site, you will need to

  • For the Quick Start menu Recycle Bin, delete permissions are required.
  • For the Recycle Bin in Site Administration, you will need to be able to login with ShareVision Administrator permissions.

Important Information

Uploaded images and documents will increase the size of your ShareVision database as they use up a lot more space than items in lists. When deleting Images and/or Document from your ShareVision site, it is important to remember to empty those items from the recycle bins especially if you are trying to reduce the size of your ShareVision database. Items in the recycle bins are included in the size of your database. Items removed from the Recycle Bin are permanently deleted and cannot be restored.

Each ShareVision subscription includes a maximum database size before overage fees are applied to your annual renewal invoice

About - How to access Recycling Bins

There are two different Recycle Bins available on your Sharevision site:

  1. The Quick Start Recycle Bin: The recycle bin on the Quick Start menu is where anything deleted by an individual user will go. Each user has a unique recycle bin on the Quick Start menu that contains the items they have deleted. If Jimmy deleted a few contacts and Jane deleted an announcement, when Jimmy checks the recycle bin on the Quick Start menu, he will only be able to see the contacts he deleted. Any items deleted more than 30 days ago will be automatically emptied from the bin.

  2. The Site Recycle Bin: Located in Site Administration, the Site Recycle Bin is where all of the deleted data from all users is stored. The Site Recycle Bin can be used to restore data that was deleted by any user on your ShareVision site within 30 days of its deletion date, after 30 days the item will be permanently deleted.
