Look and Feel settings enable personalizing your site by customizing its look.

Change Your Site Theme

Change the colour scheme of your site.

  1. Go to Site Actions > Site Settings > Look and Feel
  2. Select Site Theme.
  3. Select a theme from the list on the right. The theme selected will be previewed on the left.
  4. Click Apply.

 

  1. Go to Site Actions > Site Settings > Look and Feel.
  2. Click Title, description and icon.                  
    1. Change your website name: In the Title field of the top section Title and Description, type the name of the site as you wish it to appear.
    2. Add/change your website logo:                          
      1. You will need to retrieve the URL where your logo is stored on your site. So first decide if you want to upload a new logo to your site or locate an existing logo in a picture library.                                  
        1. Upload a new logo
        2. Replace current logo: Locate a different logo stored in a picture library.
      2. Copy the URL of the ShareVision page where the logo is stored on your site.
      3. Return to Site Settings/Look and Feel/Title, description, and icon.
      4. Paste the link to the logo into the URL field, found in the section Logo URL and Description.
      5. Click OK to save.

Enable/Disable Tree View

 Tree view displays site content in a physical manner. To enable Tree View:

  1. Go to Site Actions > Site Settings > Look and Feel.
  2. Select Tree View.
  3. Uncheck Enable Quick Launch. Check Enable Tree View. Click OK to save your changes.

Change Order

  1. Click Change Order on the toolbar to change the order in which tabs appear from left to right (or top to bottom).
  2. Change the order using the drop down numbers and the menu will re-sort to the order selected.
  3. Click the OK button to save the change or the Cancel button to abort the request.

Add a tab

  1. Click New Link on the toolbar to add a new navigation tab link.
  2. In the URL field type a Web address for the page you want the tab to open and in the description field type the name that will appear on the tab.
  3. Click the OK button to save the link or the Cancel button to abort.

Edit a tab

  1. Click the edit icon on the left of items in the list.
  2. The Edit Page loads for this item with two fields: one for the actual URL or Web address to the destination and one for the name of the link as it appears on the tab. Some of these tabs are preset in ShareVision and we have removed ability to change the link. These types of links will have the URL section grayed out. You can however, change the name of the tab by following the edit procedure.
  3. Click the OK button to submit the change or the Cancel button to abort the request.

Delete a tab

Follow the instructions for Edit a tab, except click the Delete button at the bottom of the form. A confirmation message will pop-up reminding you that links nested under links will also be removed.

Change Order

  1. Click Change Order on the toolbar to change the order of the headings or the links.
  2. Change the order using the drop down numbers and the menu will re-sort to the order selected.

Add a Heading

  1. Click New Heading link on the toolbar to add a new Quick Launch heading.
  2. The heading name can support a link, so there is a Web address field. To make the heading appear as normal, type a slash and pound sign "/#" in the Web address field. Type the name of the group or category in the Type the Description field.
  3. Click the OK button to save the heading or the Cancel button to abort.
  1. Open the page you want the Quick Launch to link to. For example, to add a link to the Asset Management list, you would first need to go to this list and open it.
  2. Copy the page's Web address.
  3. Return to the Quick Launch settings page. See Getting Here above.
  4. Click New Link on the toolbar to load the New Link form.
  5. Paste the Web address copied in step 2 in the Type the Web address field.
  6. Enter a name for the link as you want it to appear on the navigation bar.
  7. Choose the heading it will appear under.
  8. Click the OK button to save the new link or click the Cancel button to return to the Quick Launch page.

Follow the instructions for Edit a tab, except click the Delete button at the bottom of the form. A confirmation message will pop-up reminding you that links nested under links will also be removed.

Reset to Site Definition

Go to Site Actions > Site Settings > Look and Feel > Reset to site definition

Resets a Web page to template specifications in order to reverse or remove unwanted customizations.

Resetting a page may result in irreversible changes to your site. We strongly recommend consulting your project manager before proceeding
