Overview

The ShareVision Home Page contains a Slide Show of Images that can be customized.

Images can be added or deleted from the Slide Show.

Requirements/Dependencies

You need to be in the Site Administrators security group to perform these actions.
If you are adding new Images, the recommended Image sizes are within the following ranges:
- Minimum (width x height): 385 pixels x 235 pixels
- Maximum (width x height): 435 pixels x 315 pixels
  
  While the system will allow you to upload Images which are smaller or larger than the recommended sizes listed above, smaller or larger Images may not be easy for the ShareVision users to view in the Slide Show. More details resizing Images are provided below.

About

The Slide Show on the Home Page allows Site Administrators to highlight organization specific events or information by updating the Images in the Home Page Pics Image Library.

How to

Select or Create Images

Select or create Images to be added to the Slide Show.
Save them to your computer or device.

Images can be pictures or graphics and using high quality Images will result in a clearer display for the users viewing the Slide Show.

Resize Images

To resize any of the Images, you can use the Paint or Photos apps available in Windows 10. Other photo editing apps can also be used. The steps below explain how to resize the image using the Photos app.

Browse to the Image you would like to resize.
Double click the image.

You may be prompted to select which app you would like to open the image in. If prompted, select Photos and then select OK.
Select the ... in the upper right corner of the window.
Select Resize.

Resizing the images prior to uploading them is recommended as it will allow you to see what the image(s) will look like prior to publishing it/them on the Home Page.
Select Define custom dimensions.
Enter a width in pixels. Remember to enter a width that is between 385 and 435 pixels.
Select Save resized copy.
Enter a file name for the resized image.
Select Save.
Repeat for any other images that need to be resized.

Upload Images

Login to the v4 UI as a Site Administrator
Click/tap on the top right link Settings > Site Administration
On the Site Administration page select 'View All Lists and Libraries' in the Lists and Libraries section.
Enter 'Home Page' in the Search box.
Select/tap
In the Search Results, select/tap Home Page Pics.
Open File Explorer and locate the picture you resized.
Click/tap and drag the image from the folder to the Home Page Pics image library.
The image will be uploaded to the library.
