Uploading Images to an Image Library

Overview


This Knowledge Base article provides you with everything you need to know about uploading images to an Image Library on your ShareVision site.


Requirements/Dependencies


  • You need to be in the Site Administrators security group to perform these actions.
  • Have an idea of which images you would like uploaded to your ShareVision site and in which Image Library


Image Size


To get the best results with your images on Sharevision, it is recommended your photos are within the listed range: 

  • Minimum (width x height): 385 pixels x 235 pixels
  • Maximum (width x height): 435 pixels x 315 pixels 

Images outside of this range can be uploaded, however images which are smaller or larger than the recommended sizes listed above may distort quality. To learn how to resize an image check out Resizing Images.


How-to


To upload images to an image library, follow these steps:

  1. Logged in as a Site Administrator, select the gear icon in the upper right corner and select: Site Administration.


  2. When prompted, enter your ShareVision Administrator username and password.

  3. In Site Administration, select View All Lists and Libraries in the Lists and Libraries section.

  4. Search for the Image Library you'd like to upload a photo to or select an a library from the Image Libraries section


  5. You will be taken to a new page. Here, either drag and drop your image or click new document and select the image, then press Save. You have the option to add a title and information about the photo before you save.   

  6. The picture is now successfully uploaded to ShareVision. Repeat as needed.
