Overview
This knowledge base article provides you with everything you need to know about a Resizing Images before uploading to your ShareVision site.
Requirements/Dependencies
- You need to be in the Site Administrators security group to perform these actions.
- Have an idea of which images you would like uploaded to your ShareVision site.
About
To get the best results with your images on Sharevision, it is recommended your photos are within the listed range:
- Minimum (width x height): 385 pixels x 235 pixels
Maximum (width x height): 435 pixels x 315 pixels
Images outside of this range can be uploaded, however images which are smaller or larger than the recommended sizes listed above may distort quality.
How-to
To resize any of the Images, you can use the Paint or Photos apps available in Windows 10. Other photo editing apps can also be used. The steps below explain how to resize the image using the Photos app.
- Browse to the Image you would like to resize.
Double click the image.
You may be prompted to select which app you would like to open the image in. If prompted, select Photos and then select OK.
- Select the ... in the upper right corner of the window.
Select Resize.
Resizing the images prior to uploading them is recommended as it will allow you to see what the image(s) will look like prior to publishing it/them on your selected Page
- Select Define custom dimensions.
- Enter a width in pixels. Remember to enter a width that is between 385 and 435 pixels.
- Select Save resized copy.
- Enter a file name for the resized image.
- Select Save.
- Repeat for any other images that need to be resized.
