About - Links


Details links are the navigation bars for the Individual, Program, or Residence Details pages.



Getting Here


  1. To get to the settings for the navigation bar links, go to Site Actions > All Site Content
  2. Scroll down to the Lists section and open the appropriate QuickStart Details Links list:

  2. Scroll down to the Lists section and open the QuickStart - More Links list.



Settings

  1. Once you have navigated to the correct QuickStart Link list:
  2. Go to actions in the toolbar > Change Order.
  3. Change the order using the drop down numbers and the menu will re-sort to the order selected.
  4. Click the OK button to save the change or the Cancel button to abort the request.

Warning

All group types must be kept together

  1. Remaining in the QuickStart links list > Navigate to Settings > List Settings > the Heading columns.  The full name of the appropriate column varies depending on which Details Links list you're in, but it will begin with QuickStart Heading for.
  2. Add a new heading choice in the field Type each choice on a separate line.
  3. Click the OK button to save the heading or the Cancel button to abort.
  4. To delete a heading, remove it from this choice field.

  1. Open the web page you want to link to. For example, to add a link to the Critical Incidents list, you would first need to go to this list and open it.
  2. Copy the page's Web address.
  3. Return to the Links list page. See Getting Here above.
  4. Click New > New Item.
  5. Paste the Web address copied in step 2 in the Type the Web address field.
  6. Enter a name for the link in the field Type the description.
  7. Add notes if they're required. 
  8. Choose what Heading you would like the link to appear under.
  9. Choose the Audience(s) for the link.  This will determine which pages the link will appear on.
  10. Choose Permissions.  If this is left blank, the link will only be available to Site Administrators.
  11. Click the OK button to save the link.

  1. Click the edit icon on the left of item on the list.
  2. Make your changes.
  3. Click the OK button to submit the change or the Cancel button to abort the request.

Follow the instructions for Edit a tab, except click the Delete Item button at the top left of the form. A confirmation message will pop-up reminding you that the deleted items will go to the Recycle Bin.
