About - Images and Links Bar

The Images and Links Bar displays a slide show of images uploaded to the picture library Home Page Pics.

The Links section gives users quick access to any link included here. You can display links agency-wide, or have them appear only for select audiences.

Getting Here - Images and Links Bar

The Images and Links Bar is found on the Home page as well as on the sites Health and Safety, Employee Services, and Managers. The Home page Images and Links Bar displays a slide show of images uploaded to the picture library Home Page Pics.

Images and Links Bar - Manage Links

Add a link to an Images and Links Bar

Click add new link in the Links section of the Images and Links Bar on the Home page.
Enter the link in the field Type the Web address. Click on Click here to test to ensure the link has been successfully added.
In the field Type the description, enter the link name, like ShareVision Support, for example.
Choose one or more audiences where the link will be displayed.
Click OK to save.

Edit/delete a link in an Images and Links Bar

Go to the Links list.

Click the Edit icon to the left of the link.
- Edit: Enter your changes and click OK to save.
- Delete: Click Delete Item in the toolbar. Click OK on the pop-up confirmation window.

Add an image to an Images and Links Bar

Go to Site Actions > All Site Content>Home Page Pics under the Picture Libraries heading.

Click Upload > Upload Picture
Browse to the picture you would like to add. Note that files must be in .jpeg or .jpg format and be no more than 200 px on their longest side.
Click OK to save.

Delete an image in an Images and Links Bar

Go to Site Actions > All Site Content > Home Page Pics under the Picture Libraries heading.

Click the checkbox below the picture(s) you wish to delete.
Go to Actions > Delete, and click OK to approve.
