Getting Here

  1. Open any list or library from the All Site Content page.
  2. Open the List Toolbar Settings Menu.
  3. Select List Settings (or Document Library Settings).

Title, Description and Navigation

  • Change the name of a list/library
  • Change the description of a list/library

    • Specify whether a link to a list/library appears on the Quick Launch Navigation Bar

Versioning Settings

Applies To Version(s): 3, 3.5 & 3.7

  • Turn on content approval
  • Enable item version history
  • Set security on items pending content approval





Advanced Settings

  • Enable management of content types
  • Specify Read and Edit Access for Item Level Security
  • Enable attachments for lists and libraries
  • Display New Folder command on the New menu
  • Turn on visibility of lists/libraries in search results
