- Filter available content types by group or search all groups.
- Click on a content type to select it and click Add.
- Use the Dropdown menu to select List Content Types
- Select as many items named Item X, where x is a number from 1 to 11. Don't worry about any order, they are just blank templates that you can use to create your Content types.
- Click on the Item X in your Content Type list and click on ename the Item X to the Content Type name of your preference.
- In the Content Type Settings, click on Add from existing site or list columns.
- Select the Columns you want to use in this Content Type
- Repeat the steps C, D and E for all Content Types selected in Step B.
After a Content Type is created you can define which columns are required or even hide some columns.
Required columns in the original List must be set to Optional before enabling Content Types. Those columns can be set as required later in your Content Type settings.
Set the Default Content Type

- Go to the Content Types section of a list or library. Ensure management of content types is enabled.
- Click Change new button order and default content type.
- Set the default content type in position 1.
- Click OK to save and finish.
